"Mouthwatering", "nicely priced" "comfort-food" classics are served in a "nostalgic setting" reminiscent of the "Brady Bunch house" at Stephen Starr's "upscale American diner" near Washington Square; the "bright", "inviting" atmospherics and "friendly" service "harken back to a simpler time", though some say it gets "a little too loud" for conversation.

I got the turkey burger. It was pink in the middle when it arrived, I asked if it could be cooked longer....

They opted to cook me a new one, which was nice, except that it TOOK FOREVER. Everyone in my party was completely finished eating by the time my second sandwich came....

Then, when the "maitre d" brought the second sandwich he made a point to say "Here's your turkey burger, WELL DONE", implying it was my standards creating the issue, rather than the original sandwich not being cooked thoroughly. This subtle dig was a completely unnecessary and unprofessional gesture.

On top of that, the second burger was pink in the middle as well! I've eaten many turkey burgers in my life, but never have I eaten one that was pink in the center. I don't know many people that are comfortable eating poultry that is visibly pink in color.....

My unfortunate experience aside, nobody else in my party found anything about the Jones experience compelling enough to ever return.

Brunch here is expensive, slow, and loud. This morning we waited 18 minutes for our drink order (after we demanded it and were informed that the bar was out of the special glasses they'd normally use so we're waiting for them to get more). While we waited we shouted our conversation about the sparse menu across our too-small table. The food itself was good (salmon Benedict was apparently heavenly, and my waffle was good despite the chicken being a bit dry) but the whole experience was like being in a college cafeteria that serves above average food.

Best customer service ever. Food was decent. Drinks were good but the customer service made everything awesome. I live in baltimore and if I came back to Philly I'd definitely patronize Jones again. Smiling just thinking about it...and yes this is a real review.

Came for lunch during work, was in at about 12:10 and out before 1pm.

The grilled cheese & tomato soup combo was excellent - gooey cheesy goodness paired with a spot-on tomato soup. I'll definitely come back here for that, but probably not for a workweek lunch - it's made me a bit drowsy in the afternoon.

I also got a Jones black cherry soda, although I didn't realize it was the sugar free, zero calorie version, so it was kind of bland - not worth the $4 I paid for it.

All in all, a great, simple, experience.

Great family friendly dinner near the Liberty Bell etc. Tasty fancy diner food. Loved my summer squash pasta. Tasty cocktails and local brews.
