08/03/2012 6:11 pmWonderful creative food. The chef/owner cooks all dishes to order reducing and making your sauces and meals as the orders are put in. If your looking for food that a chef cooks personally for you, this is your place. If you want heat it up, ladle it on top, finish your meal in 30 minutes this is not the place for you. The time and care taken for each meal is noticeable as soon as you take your first bite. It's BYOB and they don't rush you to get out so they can seat your table over and over again. Instead they want you to relax , enjoy your BYOB, friends and of course their great food. Bon appetite! |

06/05/2011 1:50 pmI wish I could afford to eat at (k)new a few times a week. Every time we take a bite of something new, we each do that thing where your eyes roll back in your head and you forget where you are, only to come back and say "seriously? HOW do they do it?!" |

02/06/2011 4:58 pmLovely! Just lovely! Satisfying experience at Knew. Its BYOB! The dishes were delicious! We had the bucatini with skirt steak and the duck with risotto! So yummy and flavorful! The staff was so friendly even on a busy Saturday nite! It waa pleasure meeting the chef's wife who is also the hostess. Definitely make a reservation ahead. |

12/07/2010 8:27 pmOne of the best hidden gems in Chicago. Chef Omar Rodriguez has some amazing creations. Food is incredible, service is impeccable. I haven't brought a single person there that hasn't said that was one of the best dinner experiences the've ever had. They also offer a chef's table which is very reasonably prices and the food quality is outstanding. BYOB is also a plus! Parking can be hard sometimes but I always find a spot eventually |

05/13/2010 10:34 pmThis was some great food!! The service was fantastic. The wait staff very accommodating. We were granted a free tasting of a yummy prosciutto appetizer that was very good. I had some tangy lemony noodles with chicken. Someone else had the duck with an amazing risotto. The salads were fresh, the soup was spicy/tangy and tantalizing. The desserts delicious! I am not exaggerating, run do not walk to this place. If i had to complain about any single thing, it would be the lighting in the restaurant. We actually had to pull out flashlight keychains to see the bill. A little overly dramatic. With food so delicious and the presentations so beautiful I would expect better lighting. |
