Worse Japanese restaurant we've ever experienced. Started with waitress melting a polyester napkin on the griddle to flavor our hibachi. Then a large spider cricket crawls across the table between her and her plate. We ordered a 32 ounce "Scorpion" to share...which actually turned out to be 26 ounces... rip off costing $16...and last ... one person in our party was skipped on his teriyaki chicken...which was not even noticed by the chef until it was pointed out. They cooked the missing main course chicken in the kitchen...and it came out 15 min after everyone else finished. Terrible experience.

Very expensive for food you can get from Chinese restaurant for 50% of the price. A little annoying with a birthday or two at every table. Seems like no one comes here unless its a birthday.

I’ve only attended birthdays here with a large party of 20-something-year olds so that may skew my review a bit: The Hibachi Chefs have been rather blah—barely a corny joke and all their cooking tricks done without much enthusiasm (Granted it’s been difficult to play off my group’s energy). SAUCY FOOD= The textures of my main Teppanyaki dishes (Steak and Shrimp) were not at that melt-in-your-mouth stage but not bad. The veggies all had a great crisp to them. My biggest complaint was the amount of sauce—very saucy! Very strong flavor that overwhelmed all the proteins, veggies, and noodles on my dish.

Food was good, service was decent. Beware if you are attending for the "Free Birthday Meal" as they sometimes advertise- You're required to sign up for a Rewards club card which isn't mentioned by staff or even in the menu ... So how the heck are customers supposed to know? I literally had to be told by a customer it even existed which is slightly pathetic. If the advertisement is put up on the sign again, it's borderline False Advertisement if the Rewards Club isn't mentioned, otherwise people will walk in and receive a larger bill then expected because there's literally no other way of knowing if you happen to drive by, which itself is a ripoff and/or scam depending on ones viewpoint (On your Birthday, of all days). It's been two years since the change and they have yet to update or put a slip in to the menu about it existing, which may explain why my menu felt a bit old and "slimy".

The main reason for my rating however was the managers attitude towards me. His general demeanor was the "Ignore them, Smile & Nod" routine which I know because his staff had to answer the questions I asked him directly- He spoke fluent English, he was just outright ignoring me and couldn't have made it anymore obvious, he barely made eye contact.

I refuse to take my business or family to an establishment managed by a man with no morals or respect for his customers, so this was my last visit after many years of enjoying Kobe's, sadly. The only reason this isn't a 1 star rating one would give out of being irritated is because the staff otherwise was polite, the food was good but I'm not helpless to cook something just as simple & save the money from now on, but admittedly the chef was a good guy. However, as stated before, the manager himself left a terrible impression, so I stick by my Two Stars- That was enough for me to Dislike my visit.

P.S- A few chefs (ours did fine) were dropping spatulas and whatnot when doing their fancy opening.
