Kris's Restaurant was a big disappointment to my parents, which is saying something. The menu looks appealing enough, which a decent selection of dishes. Execution is non-existent. Fried kale is greasy and blah, green beans are canned, microwaved, and appalling, steak is far too big and a bit tough. Lamb burgers are overcooked and come with unannounced sautéed onions and mushrooms and mozzarella (bizarre flavors for lamb); be sure to ask about unadvertised toppings when it comes to burgers. We didn't bother with dessert. Service was pleasant. Indoors is ice cold; sit on the patio for a nicer experience.

Visited 10/13/13. Their first mistake was to put my back to the TVs and the kitchen in my line of sight. One of the cooks had his shirt unbuttoned to mid-chest exposing a lot of chest hair. Additionally he was the only one in the kitchen that did not have a hat or hair net on - lots of hair dangling in his face. Since I had nothing else to do while waiting for my order I noticed that he went to his face and hair several times with his bare hands (no gloves) and did not wash after doing so. I noticed several wait-staff that also seemed to have little concern about hand hygiene before handling food and drinks.

When we asked for catchup for our fries we were brought a tiny bowl where the catchup almost covered the bottom. Had to wait for re-fills while an employee chatted with friends at the next table.

Food was OK with fair prices. I don't think I saw a smile on any staff members face except for the chatty waiter mentioned above.

I can't say there was anything special about this place.

Not good! Went there for breakfast Was promptly seated, but received zero service. Noticed a number of staff "putzing around" doing small jobs, but never had anyone come over. After 15 minutes, walked out. Should note that the restaurant was not very full and it was mid-morning--probably not the end of shifts. Eat there if you have a week to kill or bring your own food!
