I was raised in security and used to eat at kwik inn. When I moved back to the area i went to eat dinner with my family and the waitress sucked! She only came to our table three times and was consumed by friends who came in after us. Then as I checked out I graciously gave her a 10% tip although service was horrible and when the payment cleared my account she gave herself $3 more than what I wrote and signed for. Bunch of darn crooks! Never again!!

EPIC FAIL. . "Dad" Ruined a historical and wonderful diner in Widefield with false advertisement, and jacked up prices. My grandfather would roll over in his grave if he knew what this place has been turned into!!!! Way to ruin something that was doing just fine for us local 80911'ers. . .

Went for lunch today and I was greatly disappointed that they have raised the prices so high, reduced the portions so much and the quality of the meal was not what I expected. The waitstaff did not bother to tell us about the specials and when we asked for pickles I was almost halfway through my meal before another waitress asked if we needed anything and we reordered. We will not be back, too expensive and poor quality.

I have been going to Kwik Inn for the last four and half years. Use to be a great burger/sandwich joint, till it was bought out by "Dad's BBQ." Now they have changed to Dad's Kwik Inn BBQ. What a joke of a place it has become.
I have gone three time since the change over and the third will be my last and final visit. We arrived to an somewhat empty restaurant (that should have been my first clue as the place use to be packed). The only tables that could accommodate our party of 10 was covered in dirty dishes. We ended up having to clear the tables ourselves since no waitstaff decided to do it for us. Once we finally sat down, it wasn't long 'till we were constantly bothered with flies buzzing around us. It wasn't just one or two pesky flies, it was dozens flying everywhere.
The very unhappy waitress, finally decided (after 10 minutes of sitting in a booth) that we should have some menus. She asked what we wanted to drink and that was the last time she ever cared about serving us drinks, because after serving us our drinks that was the one and only serving we received.
She came back to take our order's for food. Nothing complicated 4 Kwik Inn Burger Plates, 1 Sante Fe Chicken Sandwich, 2 Turkey Club Sandwich, and 1 BBQ Brisket Sandwich. Nothing special order about anything. You would have thought they were making our meals from scratch, because we didn't get it for ONE & HALF HOURS. In that time waiting, our waitress never once updated us on our order or bothered refilling our drinks. My mom actually had to get up and walk over to the grill to ask for refills.
Once we got our food, it looked "okay" and not like the typical Kwik Inn servings. The 2 Turkey clubs came with no mayo and with bacon that was WAY undercooked and extremely fatty. The Sante Fe Chicken Sandwich came with a salad that was brown and enough ranch dressing to dress five side salads. One of the Kwik Inn Burger Plates had a lovely dark, long hair in the burger. We would have sent the food back, but our very unhappy waitress didn't even bother checking back with us and we were not wanting to wait another 90 minutes for a new plate of food. Even the couple sitting behind us received the less that par food (we heard them complaining too).
As far as atmosphere, not sure why they had hard rock/heavy metal playing. Use to be a small diner like setting with a juke box. Not anymore. The temperature was a balmy 82 degrees and having thin paper towels served as napkins is quite cheep.
