Food:

I expected the restaurant to be good considering it always seem to have a slew of people dining there (especially in their outdoor seating area). I was a bit disappointed with the food however. We ordered the calamari to start off with, and then a linguine and risotto of the day for our entrees. The calamari was probably the only good thing we had. The other two dishes weren't horrible but just tasted very bland. The risotto was not cooked properly..there was still water remaining. The linguine was a tad better but there was nothing special about it either. The service was very good though. I would not recommend dining outside because I had 4 mosquito bites.

Very good italian restaurant in the heart of lincoln square. The lamb raviol is excellent and their pasta dishes are overall very tasty.

I stubbled into this place after a long day of hard work. I'm Italian and am very picky with my food, however when I walked in the owner Liz was very friendly and spoke Italian with me. My friend had goose ravioli and the sause was to daie for. I had carbonara, the best carbonara ever! I highly raccomend it!

La Bocca Della Verita means The Mouth of Truth. My translation was verified by the quaint restaurant history on the back of the menu.

All meals come with bread and olive oil to start out with. I ordered the vegetable spaghetti. It was very delicious. The serving was most adequate and came with garlic bread.

It was hard to tell what the entrance of the restaurant was. It went into a bar, and then there wasn't someone there to seat us for ~5 minutes. Very confusing. The tables and seats are very close to other tables too.

La Bocca has been one of my favorite restaurants since moving to the area five years ago. I love it so much, we're having the rehearsal dinner here. Liz is great and you can taste the love in the food!
