Food:

"Wonderful" smells entice passersby into this "quaint" "classic French bakery" in Uptown to gaze at the "divine pastries" lining glass display cases (it also offers "delicious" sandwiches and quiches); "good prices" and an "informative, helpful" staff also make it a "highly recommended" spot to "start the day or relax in the middle of your routine."

Food:

Nothing special about this place. Croissants were hard and seemed like they were from yesterday even though I had them early in the morning. Sandwiches are skimpy on the meat. Muffins are small but taste good.

Under new ownership, and it is not the same. I understand that 'new' can be a good thing, but in this case it just isn't. If I had a time machine, I would stop the rise of Hitler in 1930's Germany, after I prevented the sale of this place to the new owners. Past reviews are not applicable anymore.

I used to love the blueberry muffins. I had one last weekend and the new owners have obviously changed the recipe. They were dry with very few berries, and had a horrible flavor. The six grain and ciabatta breads aren't as good anymore either. Very disappointing.

This bakery used to have the best six grain bread on earth... Since reopening under new ownership the bread is terrible... They dramatically reduced the amount of poppy seeds (which used to be the over-arching seed flavor) and somehow gave the bread a metallic aftertaste... Yuk!

Food:

Has just changed hands and the old owners must have taken their recipes with them. The names are the same, but instead of 5-star products, the 3 that I have tried are 2-star at best. No more to - die - for flaky butter croissants and chewy loaves - what a loss!
