01/01/2016 4:17 amNice atmosphere with personable staff. I had Oysters on the half app and they were excellent. Had order of Fried Calamari for table and it was also very very good. Tender and tasty. I had the rack of lamb for one and it was perfectly med rare and very very good. I was over all very pleased with the food here and I am a bit of a food snob. lol. Our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed and was slow to clear plates to make space and just as slow to refill water glasses. Also, the waiters should have some crumbers to clean up a bit between courses but over all this was a great dining experience. I would go back. |

11/20/2015 2:34 amFood was delicious (had the branzino ravioli in crabmeat sauce as well as a majority of the appetizers) and ambience seems authentic (at least to someone who's never been to Italy) - private, dim, quiet, with some interesting murals to boot. Service was slow - though we did have a large party, it was the lunch hour and the restaurant was maybe 1/2 to 2/3 full with maybe 2 patrons per table. Seemed like a place that welcomes regulars frequently, as I heard a few guests referred to by first name upon leaving. Definitely recommend - just don't be in a hurry...which may actually not be such a bad thing. |

10/19/2015 11:48 pmThe food was really awful. Great concept, unfortunately, not good at all. We ordered the chicken piccatta, which came with roasted potatoes, instead of the traditional pasta - which was welcomed and actually the best part of the meal, but would have been nice had they mentioned it in the description (perhaps they did, and I just didn't notice???) The chicken itself was chewy - and the sauce was really bad... I'm not sure what they did to it... but it was not good. I also ordered the mediterranean salad, which was inedible. Absolutely disgusting. I'm not one to post scathing reviews, and I can usually find some redeeming quality in a restaurant... but this one... hmmm... I guess the bread was really good. ? We are definitely crossing this place off of our list. :/ Sorry!!! |

08/25/2015 1:14 amWe had very pleasant surprise when we were looking for something for lunch waiting for our grandson to be born at the Pennsylvania hospital. We saw the sign on Locust, and went down the stairs to a mostly empty restaurant. The menu was very complete, and we ordered 3 courses because it was restaurant week. I had the Papardelle al Fungi, Trout and chocolate cake. The pasta was delicious, as was the trout. This is a great place to go for lunch. |
