Place looks like a cave and can feel like a cave, temperature wise..

Depending on which night you come, the place can feel like a sauna or a freezer. Tues - Wends good amount of people, not too crowded. Thurs - Sat nights after 12am, expect the place to be packed and hot. This place is a potential fire hazard if the basement if packed to the point where you have to touch each others ass to pass by the place and exchange sweat drops on each others arms.

Table service can be pretty attentive, but when it's crowded, service can be slow.

DJ can punch some pretty good top 40s, hip hop and classic pop jams from the 1990s.

La Caverna is downstairs and you do have to walk in a very short hallway.
I will say the drinks are a little pricey but hey it has an interesting décor. When your there you feel amazed that the walls have paintings mimicking pre-historic times. The bartenders are great looking and extremely nice. For myself, I felt La Caverna is an experience.

Dark and sexy. Barista was fun and engaging.

I haven't been here in a couple of years, but I used to go relatively often when I was around the area late at night. It gets very crowded as it gets later, and it is a dark, sweaty mess. But that is kind of endearing I think and I didn't mind it. After going many times I think I was "over" it, but that doesn't mean it cannot provide the same enjoyment for others. I never tried the food (I didn't realize they served food) and I would never try it, but that may be because I only associate it with late-night, dark sweatiness.

One of the go-to spots in the area for a night out. Don't go to early or it'll be empty, but it does fill up quickly. Once the basement fills up (the venue is downstairs), they will hold up the line. If you're there at the right time, it's a full on out dance party. Start off at Verlaine nearby, and then head over to La Caverna when you want to express yourself.
