La Malinche is one of the best values in El Paso. Food is good and in large portions. We come here at least once a month as a family. The restaurant could use a little updating and fresh chips would be nice.

I dont understand the negative comments. Who ever said "worse Mexican restaurant" they must like texmex, because this place is authentic, and affordable as well m try it for yourself. Everything is fresh, made to order.

TALK TO THE HAND! Customer service here leaves a lot to be desired. So I call at 11am to place an order for Caldo and the person taking my order says it wont be ready for 30 minutes. I agree and place the order. I show up at 11:40 to pick up my order (40 minutes later). The lady in front tells me, "there is no caldo." I explain what I was told and she says to wait while she checks. I then notice her running around the restaurant and not updating me. 10 minutes later as she walks by I try to get her attention and say "ma-am". She immediately puts up her hand to wait and walks off again. As she comes back out I ask her, "is the caldo ready or not?" She replies No and walks off. I tell her to cancel my order and walk out.

I don't mind a simple miscommunication but I can't handle being treated as if I'm bothering them. Simple communication would have been enough. I won't be giving them anymore of my money any time soon.

Food is very good. I always come here when I'm in El Paso. However their customer service is always awful.

The prices are inexpensive but you get what you pay for at La Malinche on Doniphan. The floors were dirty and the tables had not been cleaned off for a while.The restroom was awful! I had to ask to have the table wiped where I sat with my friend. The food is poorly prepared and tasteless. The servers are busy talking in the kitchen and it took a while to get a drink and set ups and finally a menu. The pregnant woman at the check out was talking to friends and ignored the people in line waiting to pay. She was very rude. I do not plan on ever going back and will tell all of my friends and acquaintances to bypass this restaurant.
