04/27/2015 6:09 am"High-class Mexican" cuisine "cooked with love" is offered "cheap" and served with "courtesy" at this East Village cantina; the "luscious margaritas" that pack "plenty of punch" take your mind off "scrunched" seating, but "bring ear protection" at peak times. |

01/04/2015 11:58 pmFabulous brunch. A selection of a wide assortment of Mexican cuisine that gets adventurous with flavors and combinations. Try the chicken mole or one of their huevos dishes. The owner is very kind and chats up the guests as she did with us. The service is great and the atmosphere is relaxed with a fun vibe |

11/24/2014 10:51 amThis place has great brunch specials. I also love that they have a delicious mole sauce, which is difficult to find in New York. I was also impressed by the margaritas. Not the most amazing Mexican food I've ever had, but definitely adequate for the price range and atmosphere. I will go back when I'm craving mole! |

12/19/2013 3:11 pmGreat mexican food in the vein of Mole or Besito. All the classic dishes. Definitely check this place out: intimate dining atmosphere, (a little crowded), drinks, menu is very ethnic so if you don't like certain ingredients, you might be a little uncomfortable. |

05/16/2013 4:41 pmThis upscale Mexican Restaurant is a Gem. The dishes are unusual not the typical Mexican fare. I am an ex New Yorker , now living in California and never miss a chance when in NYC to dine at La Palapa . I was there three weeks ago and welcomed warmly by the staff and the charming owner Chef Barbara Sibley. Drinks are generous and the Vibe is warm and friendly. |
