12/05/2015 4:00 amAbsolutely terrible. Food quality has gone downhill drastically lately. Owner is extremely rude and actually told me to go to another restaurant if I didn't like it there. This was after he got heated and admitted the wait time was a bogus wait time and his kitchen isn't nearly big enough for his tables. In short, try anywhere else first. I wouldn't even consider this place as a last resort. |

07/07/2015 5:45 pmGreat atmosphere; this place definitely fits in with the Old Town charm. Food is authentic New Mexican, so don't expect to find sushi in your tacos or anything. |

05/10/2015 11:32 pmVisiting from Dallas Tx. After sitting down heard a complaint from table next to us that their chicken was full of cartilage. My wife ordered a root beer for starters, never got it. At time of serving our food finally said was out of root beer. When got our chicken taco's I bit into a bone. Discovered my chicken in taco had a third of cartilage in it as well. My wife's taco was cold. Told waitress we were leaving and did not pay! |

10/02/2014 3:08 amA friend and I went to eat there last night. I had the chicken taco plate. WELL! Later that night I became extremely sick with severe diarrhea. My son had eaten my leftovers that I brought home, he also got extremely sick with diarrhea. I should have followed my common sense. The shredded chicken tasted awful, like boiled chicken, it didn't have one bit of seasoning, not even salt or pepper or garlic, nothing. I was sick all morning with diarrhea today and so was my son. I will NEVER eat there again. |

05/13/2014 10:05 pmWhat a shame! This old hacienda is one of the most important landmarks in Old Albuquerque. I (vaguely) remember eating here as a kid 45 years ago. I was enthralled with the tree growing out of the roof and the mariachis. I was too young to evaluate the food then but since we went there often, I assume it was quite good. Today... well they still have the tree growing out of the roof. That's all I can say in a positive way. Go to Church Street or the High Noon in old town instead. No... not La Hacienda either. Better yet try Sadies about 5 miles north got REAL New Mexican food and service! |
