You would not believe my experience with this place. I went there my first restaurant in Philly, I'm originally from the Midwest. I was seated and noticed the lighting was very dim. Maybe their tradition?

So I ordered my traditional Italian meal and when it came out, I noticed little spikes over my shrimp.

They were all over the plate. I forked a couple of them out and noticed it was white/gray hairs!

I told the waitress to look at it. She said she'd go to the chef and ask. She came back to me and said "well it's not hair". So I asked, then what is it? She just said "I don't know, he knows they're not hairs". She said she'd bring me another order, I declined and told her I'd just pay for the bread and water. She said, well that's free and I went my merry way.

I don't eat out often, but when I moved to the city, I did more because I moved before my furniture and items came from the Midwest.

This was the utmost disgusting experience I've ever had. Strangely this was midsummer when you'd expect restaurants to be packed with people, but it was only myself and a table next to me (who heard everything, especially when the girl blurted out "we don't know what it is, but it's not hair").

Even if they didn't do that directly to someone who wants to visit, just remember, you MAY BE eating from a dish that they did that to before you arrived.

Dim lighting, low clients during peak seasons, suspicious items in food, also, the windows are covered off to really alter the lighting.

If you don't believe me, drive by and see the job visibility. NOT TO MENTION, it's on the corner of a very popular ice cream shop. Very bad signs of not entering a restaurant, that I overlooked before, but will never again!

PLEASE CALL THE BOARD OF HEALTH IF YOU ALSO DECIDE TO RISK EATING HERE. Make sure you take some "to go" and report it to a laboratory for research. No telling what could have been added to the food I didn't consume, or how sanitary these places that can't keep a steady cliental, can't give proper lighting, etc. actually are.

There are so many diseases and illnesses spread a second. One bad consumption could cause more than just a stomach ache.

Went here on Valentines day. Food was really good but a weird combo - a hash brown and string beans with your pasta? The server also overcrowded our table with plates. It was a nice little place, but I would prefer something more romantic for Valentine's Day. This was good, but not what I was looking for. The seafood crepes were really delicious though.

Been going for years, food and service ALWAYS top shelf. Why anyone would go to Ralph's, "The Mickey "D's" of Italian restaurants is beyond me. LaStanza has a bar and PLENTY of free parking.
