09/13/2014 7:20 pmWe arrived about 5pm. There were no cars in the lot and that should have been our first clue. Friend ordered flatiron steak and I the chicken french. The owner waited on us because the waitress had not yet arrived. She was very friendly. Right after taking our order I requested to change the chicken french to mahi mahi. We had ordered appetizers so did not think it would be a problem. The waitress had arrived and brought our meals and we ended up with mahi mahi and chicken french. After pointing out the mistake she said sorry but you changed servers mid meal and I have no way of knowing that. So my friend did not get the steak he went there especially for. Do not order chicken french. The sauce is not pleasant, just one big TANG. The breading did not stay on the chicken. Needless to say we were very disappointed and will not be back. |

10/07/2011 10:46 pmWe just had a long day of driving and we wanted to go someplace that would "Bring us food". We got so much more then just food. We ordered the Cajun Crab Cakes and Loaded Chips. The crab cakes were good, yet spicy, which you expect being Cajun. The chips were hand made potato chips with Gorgonzola cheese, bacon and grilled peppers. They almost caused a fight over who got the most. They were great! The corn and crab chowder (that's one chowder) was tremendous! It and the rolls on the table could easily be a full meal. The fish on the Friday fish fry was huge. I don't think I have ever seen a piece of fish that big. One in our party ordered the Chicken French. For a place that seemed more focused on steak and seafood, the chicken also seemed to be given the chef's full attention. It was very good. All the meals overwhelmed us with their flavor and their size. We ended up bring home enough leftovers for a meal or two. I can't say anything about the dessert, since we had no room for it left without trying it. Next time I plan to skip the appetizer and save room to give the dessert a try. |

02/23/2011 11:55 amWhat a disappointment!! Go here for drinks ONLY and maybe an appetizer. While server was nice enough, she should have asked the manager to see us. We repeated our request 3 times that the pasta be al dente, she repeated it back to us. It was mush. We told her so and she apologized but that's it. The scallops come with sausage? Strange combo so my friend asked w/o sausage and the scallops were as boring as anything, no flavor, no sauce, no attempt to make it tasty. I guess they count on the sausage for that. Then the dessert was described as simply dark chocolate but arrived with raspberries inside, which our friends would not have ordered. We pointed this out...she did not offer to replace it for something else and still charged us for it. they picked around the raspberries but didn't really eat it. No coffee was offered as an apology, nothing. I worked over a dozen years in the restaurant biz, serving and managing and this is the worst PR I've seen in ages. Not only did they lose us but we will be sure to tell everyone NOT to eat here. Four of us telling people that...that's a lot of bad press. What a waste of money. The martini's were good, however, and the bartender was friendly. Don't get anything else here, though. I'm amazed they stay in business. |
