I heard about Laurel Grill and Bar from a co-worker that had nothing but good things to say, so I decided to give it a shot. A few of my girlfriends and I went there for Sunday brunch and the food, service, and prices were spectacular! I definitely want to go there for dinner next time, and I would definitely recommend this fine dining restaurant for those who are looking for that kind of experience!

The prix-fixe menu is the best we've found in Boston! It's $20 for 3 courses and the entrees are the same size as the ones that cost more than $20 on their own. Great selection and incredible food. The desserts are amazing.

The atmosphere is wonderful. It's a great upscale restaurant for an incredible price!

I went their for valentines day. It started off bad because the address on Yelp was wrong and we spent half an hour in the cold boston wind looking for this place. The staff on the phone were very patient and helpful. When we got there we were expecting some really delicious comfort food judging from the reviews. The appetizer met our expectations well (lobster macaroni). But the main course was another story. We got the valentines day pre-fix since that seemed to be the only thing available. No prices for the pre-fix? no prices for the cocktails? oh well, how much could it possibly be.... before i get into that, the food was very very disappointing. I ordered honey glazed chicken and my chicken was so dry you could see how dry it was and hear how dry it was when you chewed. My boyfriend ordered swordfish and he was begging me to trade my chicken for it. The dessert was mediocre... When the check came, it was over $125. To give you an idea of how bad of a deal that is, the next night we went to Atlantic Fish with one other person and i was stuffed with fresh scallops, clam chowder and extra extra dessert (which tasted heavenly)... the check came out to be LESS and the dinner at Laurel we had ONE MORE PERSON and the food was WAY better.

I went to Laurel for dinner on a Tuesday night, was amazed to find that one waitress was serving the entire restaurant, over 12 tables! Needless to say we waited 45 minutes for drinks and to order dinner. The mussels for appetizer were pretty good, the calamari was mushy and cold. For dinner I had the lobster risotto, which was not very good, pretty bland and tasteless. The ingredients had just been mixed together last minute, not cooked together. With all the great spots in Boston I won't be going here again... :(
