Legal Sea Foods - Crystal City, Arlington, Virginia Restaurant Details

My coworker and I decided to order My birthday dinner from Legal Sea Food in Va as take out when I spoke with the young lady that put my order in i let her know it was my birthday and could they make the dinner as if I was there.She said yes we can do that. Now this was the first time that we will have eaten here. I was so excited. when my coworker returned with the food to my surprise it was in cardboard boxes my salad my crab cakes. Just to say it did not make and good impression on me if you are paying that much money for and meal am sure they can do better then that with the carry out. The crab cakes were pretty good it's the way the dinner was presented. Not in pressed.

Pretty good fresh fish. I always get the Rockfish if it's available.

Tasty, well prepared dishes. Good service. I've been twice and will certainly be back. You really should try the Thai Chili Calamari. So yummy.

This was my first time visiting a Legal Sea Foods. The food was OK, but the service was terrible. There was about a 20 minute wait for a table which is fine. I decided to eat outside where there was no wait. I was seated. It took about 15 minutes before someone noticed me. I'm not sure, but it appeared to be a manager. He indicated that he would try to find the waitress for my table. He also asked me if I wanted something to drink and rolls while he finds the waitress. I thought this would be complimentary. I wait another 5 minutes before he comes back with the drink and rolls, but indicates that he still can't find my waitress. I ask him if I can go ahead and order through him. He takes my order. After another 5 minutes, my waitress finally shows up to let me know that my food will come out soon. It takes another 10 minutes before I finally get the food. The waitress was very unattentive throughout the whole meal. After finishing, I waited for the check and finally got up to go find someone I could pay so I could get out. The waitress saw just as I was getting up. I asked her for the check. I thought I would get some type of discount for the poor service. I received a check for the full amount (including the lemonade).

This was not a good first experience with Legal Sea Foods. I'm not sure if I will ever visit another Legal Sea Foods, but it definitely won't be this particular location if I do.
