04/10/2013 2:50 pmIf I can avoid hitting snooze too many times, I often stop in here for breakfast on my way to work. It's exactly what you'd expect from a diner in cheap Brooklyn (not cool Brooklyn). The food is good but not mind-blowing, the service is casual and friendly, and their breakfast food is better than their other food. |

03/04/2012 12:05 amToday I stopped at the light house restaurant in bay ridge on 3rd and ordered a bowl of cream of turkey soup coffee, and a glass of water.Well let me tell you I could've used this soup as plaster or cement, disgusting is an understatement. Not only was it warm at best,it must have been made very cheaply(no cream)using arrow root or WAY too much corn starch instead. The water never arrived until my third request,in what appeared to have been slightly larger than a shot glass with a bonus surprise I found out to be sauerkraut,Mm Mm,must be the new trend in flavored water.Coffee was acceptable and mediocre, and I also should note, booth was way to small, service was very poor, and prices seemed high.My advice:Avoid this diner at all costs, there are much better than this,or just get a can of cambell's condensed soup which is far superior at a fraction of the price with much less aggravation. |
