I loved these folks & their delicious food, & I'm so sad to see it gone! I tried to bring my birthday here to no avail. And bummed/suspiciousthat the first review Google chose to show for this place is so unreasonable. $40 for all that? This is the real world - & it's a reasonably fine dining experience. Now I'm afraid of what El Inka will be like for only $40 for 3 people! And the parking is much easier than for Andina...& not everyone wants to drive to Gresham...& the place on Williams doesn't have ceviche...sigh. These people were the coolest, rip Limo!

Being Peruvian, have high expectations from Peruvian restaurants.
Here are my thoughts on Limo:

Location is a bit of a pain. I like the area where it is, but having to find parking, you might be traveling 2 to 3 blocks to park to eat here.

The decor and layout of the place is actually pretty nice. Nothing super fancy, but it does give a nice peaceful atmosphere. I do appreciate the fact that they have outdoor seating which allowed my group to enjoy the sunny day.

The service we received was decent. We were seated quickly, and the waiter made sure to stay on top of his game making his rounds regularly. The downside, we waited close to 40 minutes before our main dishes came out.

Drink wise, Limo offers a lot of wine, domestic beers, and 2 ethnic Peruvian beers (Cusqueña & Cristal). I was a bit disappointed to learn that they do not have liquor, which means no Pisco Sours. I was further disappointed that they were charging $2 a glass of Inca Kola, considering El Inka in Gresham will sell you a 2 liter at that price.

The appetizer choices were decent. I loved the fact they have Causa, which no other restaurant does. Further, the Causa itself was delicious. The ceviche was also tasty, but being that it was not top quality seafood, the price was a bit steep.

My main dish was a disappointment. My favorite dish is Lomo Saltado, and pretty much a guarantee dish at any Peruvian restaurant. When my dish arrived, I was puzzled by its appearnace. What should have been a medley of sauteed onions, tomatoes, fries, and steak, served next to a healthy portion of white rice was instead all neatly separated into different piles. The steak was delicious, but I didnt order steak, I ordered Lomo, and there came the issue. The dish lacked the seasoning that Lomo has. It seems that the Restaurant was trying to sell me on how great the quality of steak was and decided to skimp out on the actual ethnic part of the dish. Ultimately, I felt as if i was served chopped steak with sides instead of the delicious dish that always reminds me of home in Lima.
Limo gets points for the Causa and the Cusqueña beer, but 1 appetizer, 1 main dish, and 2 beers ran my just shy of $40 before tip.

My final thoughts. In all honesty, your better off spending the extra $10 and going down the street to Andina's where they at least capture the flavor (even if they do add their own flair to some plates), have a larger menu, and you have a better variety of drink choices. My personal choice, and if you do not mind the drive to Gresham, is still El Inka. $40 there will feed 3 people comfortably, give you that true ethnic taste, and you will probably be taking food home.

Great happy hour, great food and accommodating staff. This is a great alternative to some of the more expensive Peruvian eateries in town.

We came to this restaurant after not being able to find a Cuban place in the area. Needless to say, we are glad that we have no directional skills. The staff was nice, the interior spotless, and the food was TOP NOTCH! They were a little late bringing us our food because there was a big party, and they threw in a complimentary desert and appetizers. Nice people, and great place to eat.

I know nothing about Peruvian cuisine. Since it was a new restaurant in my daughter's neighborhood we thought we would try it. The food was truly amazing. The menu was new & interesting with a large variety of small plates and as half dozen entrees. We decided to go the small plate route so we were able to try more flavors. Each plate was an adventure in new flavors and all were great. Because of our inexperience with this cuisine we relied on the server to help us to make selections. We were thrilled with the experience and all of the new flavor discoveries. We can't wait to go back and "play" again. Would highly recommend Limo and it will be a must visit with friends and out of town visitors.
