Stay away. This icon is living on its old reputation. We encountered an inept kitchen. insensitive management and horrid customer sensitivity. Usually busy, we found only a few patrons inside. Now we know why. The kitchen could not figure out how to prepare their own menu item. The bored manager was engrossed on his cell phone and the wait staff felt it was unnecessary to inform us that they had run into a problems in the kitchen. The wait was intolerable. When we informed that we wanted to leave, we were assured that the food was only minutes away. We reluctantly stayed a while longer. The food that was presented to us was nowhere near the standards we had encountered a number of times before. Lukewarm, coldish crap. Too bad. Management felt no thought to offer any customer service.
Close it down and bring a management/staff that is more in tune with the restaurant business of this century. Did I mention that it was our anniversary?

Listrani's is an old DC favorite, eliciting exclamations from DC natives about their memories growing up going to Listrani's. Both chicken and veal marsala are delicious, the goat-cheese bacon pizza with the special requested wheat crust is scrumptious and the expanding wine list is a perfect pairing. Definitely recommend the wheat crusted pizzas!

ordered chicken fingers and pasta with marinara sauce and sausage...

they actually sent me chicken nuggets (mcdonald's style)... and the marinara sauce was basically tomato paste straight out of the can, the pasta was soggy...

terrible... when i called them to say hey you are sending out chicken nuggets for chicken fingers.. the guy actually said 'sorry, but that's what we have'...

what a joke

This ain't no Olive Garden. This is the real deal. I had the Veal Parmesan which was excellent. Good wine, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff. The food is to die for. Park your car on Sherier or at the park on Edmunds.
