05/07/2011 10:07 pmThe food was expensive and poorly balanced. There was to much cheese and grease on pasta that was under boiled. The tiny slice of bread that came out with our drinks would have made a nice coaster, but since we had to wait 20 minutes for our order to be taken I ate it. The waiter was friendly (when he was at our table) but he decided that it was best to elaborately describe the menu to the couple that came in after us before he took our order. The atmosphere was uncomfortable and embarrassing if it was not for my date I would have left after the water. The desert is the only thing I recommend and be sure to bring a bottle of wine with you so you get better service. |

11/16/2010 5:12 amThey said they could handle our party of 7, but the early warning should have been the way they were serving a table of three - each person's meal came out 5 minutes apart! The wait staff said they were understaffed but the real problem seemed to be in the kitchen where the head chef seemingly chose at random what plate he was going to make next for which table. The end result: after nearly 2 hrs of waiting, only 4 in our group had received their meals and were able to finish those meals without the other 3 ever receiving theirs. Of those that did receive their meals, two complained that the boneless lamb was very gristly. We ended up leaving in order to go to another restaurant so that the 3 in party who never received their dinner could get something to eat. And the restaurant refused to comp us on the meal, so we still had to pay. |

09/20/2010 11:46 amArrived at 7.30 on a Saturday evening and requested table for two. There was only one other table in the restaurant at the time. An hour and half later there was still no sign of any food. There was no manager and neither the waiter nor anyone else gave us any explanation as to what was going on. We weren't the only table waiting but no one working there seemed to care. We eventually had to walk out hungry and exasperated. Think twice before risking your Saturday night. |

01/03/2010 2:32 pmI had the opportunity to dine at L'oca last evening (January 2) and I could not have been more pleased. From the moment that I arrived, I found the wait staff to be extraordinarily attentive, but not intrusive; this is a fine line and the young men at L'oca clearly get it right. Chef Lucca and the top notch sous chefs assisting him are masters of their craft. |

07/30/2008 2:38 amOverpriced menu does not live up to the expectations. Fish overcooked and the service could have been better. The menu was brief and uninspiring. The gnocchetti was good, along with the location and ambiance. |
