Maybe we were just lucky, but this was one of the best meals I've had out in ages! My husband and I scored a parking spot right in front, were seated right away, and the grilled cheese was SO GOOD. Please know when you read this, I have been to many restaurants, and I don't give praise easily. In fact I wanted to grab dinner tonight, but didn't want to come here as my husband suggested. He said they had grilled heese that was rumored to give "melt" a run for its money. I'm not a fan of melt so much.
We came here though. I ordered the #13 with dill havarty and artichoke on rye. My husband the #12- mashed potatoes, american etc. Mine was magical. So yummy. The flavors just melted together, and the the sandwich size was just right vs other places where the sandwich is huge and hard to eat. In addition the grilled cheese menu offers plenty choices for the vegetarian, or meatless Friday. The number 12 was yummy too just right. Flavorful. The atmosphere was delightful as well as the candle on the table. This was a treat!

The Lockview is one of my favorite spots for lunch, and is also a good place to meet friends for drinks or dinner in the evening. Their menu is excellent if you're a grilled-cheese fan, and they have other options if you're not (their Mac & Cheese is highly recommended). I work as a recruiter and regularly bring folks to The Lockview for lunch to showcase a great Akron spot.

We sat there for over 10 minutes before a server came to see if we had been helped. Food was just ok, we got the mac and cheese bites and shared the #8 grilled cheese.. I ordered a Pumking and didn't know it was a 16$ 22oz until we got the bill:/ To bad because it's right across the street from the ice rink, which we love.

Excellent selection of craft beer and grilled cheeses. Laid-back atmosphere makes this a local classic with a long heritage (formerly known as "Bilbo's" in the 80s). Great location on Main Street with easy access from the skyway.

It's okay.. Used to be a LOT better. Everything went up $1 recently at the same time the quality went down. French fries are now some thin cheapo fries that become rocks when cooled off at all.

Drinks = $9 and weak.
Food = $8+ and meh.

Only thing good about here is the Mac and cheese. And it's AMAZING.

Over priced hipster bars for the fail!
