Lone Star Steakhouse, Norfolk, Virginia Restaurant Details

Food:

The service our waitress provided was good, but the food was questionable. The chicken fried steak that I ordered was absolutely horrible, tasted like it was unthawed in a microwave and the gravy had no flavor (regardless of how much salt and pepper I tried to add). The avocados they put in their salads were brown, they were not fresh or ripe anymore. I should have realized something was wrong when I walked in and noticed the restaurant was empty. Should have went to Denny's.

The facility was not well maintained, the ceiling was water spotted, the exterior was in disrepair. The restroom emergency lights had been pulled from the ceiling and were dangling by the wires. We were sat at the only table without napkins or silverware and had to ask the hostess for some after the waitress brought us drink and bread. As I was getting up to use the restroom the waitress handed me my entree plate from across the table, she did not even attempt to serve me. I noted the hostess placing a wet floor sign in its receptacle, but did not observe her clean her hands before using the servers register; later I saw her carrying napkin wrapped silverware in her arms pressed aginst her uniform. The texas petal was good, not as greasy as the one at the Outback. My steak a delmonico was ordered med-rare, it can med-well done. The sugar and cinnamon from my baked sweet potato was on my steak. I was more than disappointed in the facility, the service staff and the food. I will not go back.

Food:

The service was great, but that was the only great thing. The ribeye steak tasted frozen and the mashed potatoes were foul with garlic. Don't see this place in any future plans.

Food was horrible but the service was good. appetizer undercooked, steak overcooked, potatoes in soup undercooked, and rancid honey mustard dressing.
