Longhorn Steakhouse, Bangor, Maine Restaurant Details

Food:

The waiter was pleasant,The shrimp on a stick had no taste & the rice was just gross..We THOUGHT we were ordering jalapeno peppers ,like some on a plate but A gal brought 3 out in separate glasses&called them shoots.okay.So it came to $1.50 for 1.Not sure about A shoot but it was a shock! My family was taking me out for my Birthday.Nothing special 4 me but it was 4 them.So they mention it thinking like Texas roadhouse I would get A piece of cake or cupcake.No I got A happy birthday&a smile.The out of staters had A large plate with 2 huge pieces of cakes,A big scoop of ice cream with whip cream on top&told it was on the house.I at the end of the meal received A spoonful of ice cream with a dollop of whip cream on top & 4 spoons to share it with.Ya,We will stick 2 Texas after $100.00 later.yup,at Texas with all 4 it is 65/70 at the most& dam if it doesn't taste good!!Never again.yek!!!

A very limited menu, even a well behaved child is profiled into a literal corner of this restaurant along with her anniversary celebrating parents, the waitresses are zombies with voices to match so do not expect a positive reaction or even a slight upward turn of their lips except to snarl, noisy atmosphere, the food spent more time under the heat light (a 45 minute wait after ordering be careful of the hot plates) than in preparation or upon the table being eaten. If you like onions, a supposed sweet dish that sets your mouth on fire , lots of grease, and all the aforementioned then this is your type of restaurant. The bar tender was nice and its apparent close competition Burger King is right next door.

I just wanted to share our experience at the LongHorn Steak House on Hogan Road, Bangor Maine last night, November 5, 2014. My son has been at Fort Benning, Georgia training with the US Army since July 29th of this year, unfortunately he was injured during training and we have been waiting weeks for him to be sent home...well to surprise me he set it up with the LongHorn Steak house to surprise me as my waiter..with lots of help from friends and family and the staff at the Steakhouse they had him as a waiter in training!! to my surprise it was my son and I couldnt have been happier to see him.....the Staff at the Longhorn was exceptional and I would like to thank them again personally :) Chris- General Manager, Tim & Jamie - Managers and to Tim and Morgan who were our servers...thank you and you were all wonderful and we will be dining with you all again soon .

Food:

I am giving this one star only because it was soooo very loud, we could not enjoy the most tasty steak we have eaten. Not only was it noisy, the waitress's all talk in a very irritating voice, while getting your order they are almost screaming at you as well. At first we thought it just happened to be our waitress who had this irritating voice. But on the way to the mens room , my husband overheard another waitress with the same irritating voice. HOWEVER, the steak was to die for. It is a PITY that the restaurant was anything but relaxing, because the product they sell is wonderful. Would not recommend this restaurant if you want to converse with your friends or family. If you dont mind screaming at your table mates, or those "nails on chalkboard voices", than this is the place to go.

Food:

Every time I go to Maine, I make sure to eat here. Definitely a highlight when I can get there. Absolutely delicious and not too overly expensive.
