A classic in the LSU area. The (not so anymore) new location is great. There are more seating areas, as well as outlets along some of the seating areas in case you need to charge your phone. They really cater to the college students nearby.

I love the customer service and everyone is so friendly here, also the pancakes are the best.

Always a staple when friends visit me in town. A wonderful 24-hour diner that's been around for ages, though it was recently relocated down the street (in the old Wendy's). The new building is a little less "rustic," but the staff is just as eccentric and the food is just as good as it was. Bring your appetite!

AMAZING!

Still, after first experiencing Louie's as a hungry student over 30 years ago in the original loation and now a new location, the joy of being at Louie's never fades. You can always count on enjoying terrific food and hanging with alumni, students, professors, locals, politicians (yikes), celebrities and all of the Louie's loyalists from over the decades.

Try the B.E.S.T. with a small stack of banana - pecan pancakes and wash it down with that awesome coffee and you can overcome hangovers, mid-terms, business stress and just about anything else.

Since moving to the new location, Louie's has become a zoo. While parking has improved, the quality has plummeted. Waitstaff do not point out the new waiting area for patrons but socialize while watching those in line for a table squeeze against the wall to make room for people leaving the restaurant. The noise level of the patrons is deafening so get the ibuprofen ready. When you finally get your food (after a half hour wait for the waitress just to come take the order), the omelettes are flat empty with base scrapings for filling and they've usually been sitting for a long time under the heat lamps. The final straw was seeing ten (yep we counted) servers too busy talking to help the HEAD COOK. It is beyond unprofessional to have staff so disrespectful of the cooks and the patrons that the HEAD COOK has to yell out "I need anyone. Literally anyone to take this food waiting under these lamps. Anyone?!" We loved this restaurant before but the whole experience is stressful and simply not worth the trip or the cost now.
