There are so many good reviews of this restaurant, that's why we were baffled when we were served (what seemed like) boil-in-bag rice and shredded raw cabbage for dinner with our entrees.

In Cape May, there are a good deal of really, really good choices for dinner. Again, more reason I can't understand why this place is so busy and constantly so hard to get in to.

Maybe it was a bad day, maybe my group of friends and I are used to a different standard, but this was just too simple for our tastes and frankly does not come close to any standard for restaurant food. We all found Louisa's overpriced and all four of our dinners were not much more than cafeteria food.

this is cape may before the revolution, charm and vitality, simple food, crafted and well prepared. always the blue fish, no one else still serves this nj classic. desserts are a treat. and the sesame noodles......

Louisa's is a very simple, small restaurant. I'm a foodie and loving dining out and enjoy amazing culinary experiencing however when dining out several times on your vacation you may feel like a simple, delicious, healthy, inexpensive dinner then this is the place to go!

Their Jersey Tomato and Feta salad is awesome! Delicious jersey tomatoes, topped with sliced red onion, chunky feta cheese and a simple vinaigrette. Their fish dishes are fresh, simple and flavorful. Select your choice of fish or seafood such as tilapia, scallops, shrimp, etc.Their fish is grilled/broiled served with an accompanying sauce on the side, flavorful brown rice (not your typical brown rice) and cabbage slaw.

Louisa's is small, requires cash payment, BYOB, has no red meat, and a limited list of appetizers-- but their fish is special, and their home-made desserts outstanding! Reserve before you go --it is right off the mall. The fit is tight, but almost everyone there knows the ropes and is full of advice about the menu. Parking in the town lot with meters. We have several friends who head there as soon as they reach Cape May.
