This is one of those "must try" Anchorage restaurants. The chicken is the main draw, but they have delicious burgers and a great pastrami sandwich. And don't forget a milkshake. I would recommend hot fudge, peanut butter, or nutella!

First, let me say I had high hopes for this restaurant do to my friend recommending this place. I went there around dinner time with my brother and his son.
I ordered a Coke and the "Pop" off of the menu with fries. My brother had the same but with coleslaw. His son got the kids menu burger and fries.
It was reasonably busy at the time and the food came out quickly. The quality and taste of the food seemed like it was made half an hour or so ago an just sitting on the hot plate for someone to order.
My chicken was very greasy and very bland. It would of been very dry if it were not for the infused soaked in grease.
The fries were underneath the pieces of chicken. They were shoestring French fries that could only be described as taking a bite of a two week old mc Donald's fry. I was disgusted an asked for new.
The Coke they serve is flat and watered down. And is refilled from a pitcher of flat watered down Coke.
My brother got his coleslaw late and took a bite with disgust. And I new I wanted to see how awful it was so I asked to take a bite. When I got it into my mouth I almost vomitted.
The food didn't really settle too well either after eating there.

I've been over seas to Iraq and I've had better fried chicken from a 3rd world country than this unlucky wishbone.

10/10 would rather go to KFC than eat at that diner.

Good fried chicken and shakes but the rest of the menu seems on the average side. Has a very strong dive feel, but certainly worth a trip if you like fried chicken.

The malt is the best thing about this restaurant. Food is mediocre at best. If you have never had good home fried chicken then you won't know what it should taste like &this place will be great for you. Won't waste my time or money ever going back here again.

Loved the service and the environment, it has a great classic "diner" feel. I had the chicken sandwich and fries and they weren't really that great, but it was cheap. I'll try something different next time.
