Food:

I'm a big fan of this place! They do 25 cent wings (so, 8 for 2 dollars) that aren't half bad, their hookahs are 10$ per, and you can put however many people you want on them. Sure they have a one drink minimum if you're smoking/eating wings, but their drinks go as low as 4$, so who cares? The atmosphere is pretty great, and the late-night waitress was super sweet to us the whole time.

In the end, it's a cheap hookah joint that's open to all hours of the night, and you get what you pay for. This place is definitely, definitely worth it, though.

Very chill, cool waitresses, small and intimate. Maybe the staff has changed since the previous reviewers went, but I had a great time.

The place overcharges. The staff is so F-ing nasty too and you are forced to pay a 20% tip. Plus, they a F-ing cheap and don't deliver free refill on fountain soda, and when I have been there several times and didn't like a flavor when I made one puff they wouldn't let me change it.

We went on Friday (March 05/10) and not only did we have to stand the attitude of the only waitress who works there, but we had to decide right away what to drink not even being sure if we wanted to stay or not. The place is really uncomfortable, and the owners loud and eat their delivery food right next to the customers. Really bad atmosphere, I will never ever recommend this place!!!

WARNING - do not go to Luxor Cafe on Macdougal St. I went there last night (May 30, 2009). I went directly to the bathroom.

While I was in there they were harassing my brother to get a drink. He would've got one but decided not to because of the harassment. I got out and we were just going to leave PEACEFULLY. The waitress says I need to get a drink and blocks my walkway, I say we are leaving and try and go around her. The bouncer puts me in a headlock from behind and slams me against a table and then throws me out in a headlock.

Please warn your friends, family, classmates, co-workers, etc, not to go to Luxor Cafe .
