"Every neighborhood should have a local bistro" like this Midtown "sleeper" that's appreciated for its "quality" French classics and prix fixe deals; "well-behaved" locals are drawn to its "friendly" vibe and "relaxing" (if "generic") room that's "conducive to conversation."

There is something about a French restaurant that should seem appealing...but this is not one of them. Scant and uninspiring menu options makes this restaurant one to easily forget.

Definitely was not impressed by this place. We had a reservation, but our table wasn't ready and we were forced to wait way too long to be seated. Once seated, we sat there with our menus for what seemed like ages before anyone coming over to get our drink and food orders. Because of getting seated late and not getting our order in a timely manner, we were on a time crunch since we had tickets to be somewhere, so we asked if it would be possible to get a rush on our order. The server said no and that things would come out in order. This was totally false as the table next to us arrived at the restaurant after we had already ordered, but they got their main courses significantly before ours. My friend ordered the sea scallops & rib, but his dish came out luke warm. My foie gras terrine was bland. The baked oysters lost all the oyster flavor and tasted only of cream. Definitely won't be going back. There are plenty of places nearby with much higher caliber food and service.

fabulous freshly prepared cuisine. perfect midtown lunch stop. staff always seems a bit distracted.
