12/14/2015 8:51 pmVery unreliable. Mannie's is capable of delivering well-prepared food and attentive service, but my latest experiences have been nothing short of abysmal. Today (Dec. 14, 2015) I went with friends from work for lunch. First, our order was accidentally delivered to another table, explaining a significant delay in getting our food. Then I was brought a sandwich I didn't order. The second attempt to deliver my sandwich also failed (they put mayonnaise on it against my wishes). The third time was the charm. My table-mates who ordered burgers cooked medium received patties that were borderline charcoal. A table-mate had his chamomile tea cup topped up with coffee by an inattentive waiter, and she remedied the mistake by bringing him more hot water and a black tea bag. At checkout, two orders were incorrect on the ticket. I can't avoid the sense that morale is flagging everywhere in this establishment lately, and it will be a while before I voluntarily return, predicated on having someone tell me they've found their groove again. |

10/08/2015 4:25 amWhole restaurant smelled like febreeze. We should have left immediately but we're too tired to hunt for something better. My Greek chk wrap was over spiced and the chicken had no natural flavor. My dad's meal, liver and onions(idk?) was horribly over cooked. I think it's safe to say that little was fresh in our meals. One star for decent tzakziki sauce and mashed potatoes that showed evidence of coming from real potatoes. |

09/01/2015 12:51 pmThis is literally one of my favorite places. I've eaten here since I was real young, and never once have I been unsatisfied by a meal I got here. The only problem is it's almost impossible to park anywhere nearby after Wise Pies showed up, and bought up the whole goddamn parking lot. |

08/26/2015 11:44 pmThis is my favorite diner in Albuquerque, although it is mostly for one reason which is the chicken fried steak dinner, topped with CHICKEN gravy (I think that is what kicks it up), or the breakfast- per you preference. If breakfast is your thing, order the muffin (as opposed to toast which is wayyy less awesome then the muffins/breads). There is always a long list of muffin and bread choices that are huge and awesome, such as the blueberry or banana bread, that I get, which are actually mini loaves. I do change it up now and again, and have loved everything have ordered thus far, though I get the CFS 80% of the time. The dinner comes with a facny salad that isn't only a pile of only iceberg, their's is good, with a fancy mix of greens that makes me feel slightly less guilty for shoveling yet another chicken fried steak into my face. The ranch is pretty good too. I take visiting family, as it is always a slam dunk, and is in everyone's price range. Don't forget to get the chicken gravy if you get the cfs. Also, I have had their Mexican/New Mexican food and it is good too. |
