05/10/2015 4:09 pmHorrible. Went here for Mother's Day today. Big mistake. What was even more disgusting than the food was the attitude of the general manager, Lou. He kept smiling to put on a show for others guests but obviously couldn't handle the pressure of the crowded restaurant. He was nasty to the children there. HELLO?!?! It's Mother's Day!!! If it wasn't for the children, the lousy restaurant you manage wouldn't have any business today! WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! |

05/05/2015 1:35 pmWe ate here inside the restaurant for dinner a while ago. The service was lousy, the food was mediocre for Italian food in Staten Island and way over priced. We gave the outdoor Marina area a chance on 5-2-2015 and it was an epic fail. The food was lousy...the food that made it out. Almost an hour for 3 appetizers (fried mozz, fried cal & pre-made Italian Eggrolls. Instead of admitting that somebody dropped the ball they just kept saying things would be coming out. Our lunch never made it out after a little over 90 minutes of waiting. We cancelled our order and paid for what we consumed. The white Sangria was really good however it's not hard to get good cocktails on the Island. Although the waiter and staff manager were apologetic and sincere, I will still NEVER come back here ever again for any reason. |

09/01/2014 1:49 amMy wife and I went to the Marina Cafe a couple of months before hurricane Sandy hit us. The food was amazing! I had my reservations about the place at first but I have to admit I was really impressed with the quality of the food and the view. I am one picky bastard when it comes to food and I was left very happy with my experience. You do have to wait a little for your food to be served but that's only because the place gets busy, it's a very popular place with people on the Island. |

07/28/2014 11:28 amAfter a long sail from Westchester we moored in the cove and followed up on recommendations to eat at the Marina Cafe - allegedly the best restaurant on Staten Island. We found the service and food to be amazing. The service was friendly and attentive (Pita especially), and the food was over the top.The fish and vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. The olive bread was heavenly. We even had a lovely conversation with the GM who sent us away with some delicious bread for breakfast for our sail home. We look forward to returning to this waterfront gem. |
