I would say don't come here for the food, come here if you're in a big group and want to do sake bombing.

The crowd here is generally large groups celebrating birthday parties. As you can imagine, it's a bunch of younger folk (22-26 year olds) who are ready to have a good time and celebrate it being the weekend or celebrate a birthday party. The sake bombing here is fantastic and cheap and also a lot of fun!!

But the sushi here is mediocre and you shouldn't come here for the food!

I have to admit, most of these stars are for my friends who work there. I can't review the sushi, I don't eat raw fish and I'm allergic to shellfish. My boyfriend did love their sashimi.

Service: Very quick, but it's because I come in alone or with one other and sit at the bar during an off hour, not during peak.

Food: I've had their bento box and I eat a good amount, almost all, I'm petite so it's hard for me to eat too much and their bento box is pretty filling. I also have had their beef udon, it comes in quite a big bowl and was very taste. My friends recommend the udon over ramen if you ever go in for soup.

Atmosphere: I always found it hard to believe they can fit up to 60 people in the place, because, well it's the Marina, almost all the spaces are so small. Everything is clean and nice, lively.

We went to feed our sadness after the Niners list to the Seahawks. However, the service and quality of fish just increased our woe.

They had a very difficult time serving everyone. Tables who arrived after us received their food before us. And, even at our own table, some people never even received their order.

The sushi was badly cut and stored why too cold. Even though my yellow rail came in fresh that day, so they said, it tasted frozen.

The only saving grace was the udon.

My favorite sushi bar in the Bay Area. The owners are what make it. It's not just a place to get sushi, but a elegant and fun dining experience. The chef, Tom, is exceptionally good with both picking his ingredients and being cooking (or whatever you call it, as a Sushi Chef). If I understand correctly, he was taught by a very well respected mentor. They are also creative here. They have many of their own rolls and dishes which they have come up with on their own and with the help of their customers. Great sake selection, too.

Just go. I'll meet you guys there ;)

It is not my favorite sushi spot in SF, but it is still good. Best part, you can walk in and sit down. No wait or crowds. If you want to avoid the Marina scene, this is a good spot.
