We had been searching for a good local pizza place as our favorites were all gone. We tried Mario's a few months ago and were impressed by the quality and freshness that could actually be tasted.

After several great experiences, we stopped in Monday night 6/23 and ordered the 5 Boroughs.

We noticed employees that we have not previously seen.

There was a lot of activity that caught our attention. Behind the counter, a cook was throwing something at the cashier, who threw it back. This went on the entire time we were eating. It appeared to be pizza dough. When we got our pizza, I would describe is as "run of the mill." Eating places with great reputations can go downhill quickly when there is no management to ensure quality. The success or failure depends on the preparers. In this case they were more interested in play than turning out a great product. I doubt that we will give Mario's another visit. Disappointing.

The pepperoni pizza was very big and very good. I say that you should try this if you are in the area. The food was made fresh and was hot. ENJOY

Excellent pizza and the best stromboli I've had anywhere. Their cheese steaks are authentic and close to one from philly. Pizza by the slice is cut from a 24" pizza. Can't go wrong.
