Disclaimer: I've only done carry-out, I've never sat down for a meal here. That being said, this is a place that i frequent for the soup. Every Friday they have an amazing Cream of Chicken Rice soup. The service is always friendly and relatively fast. Other things I've had such as burger and a few breakfast items are good but nothing exceptional.

I was just there on 02/11/2013 we had breakfast for 3 people and then we left did some walking around chicago came back and we sat down in a booth and the waiter come and was RUDE when takeing are order we told her that we ate breakfast there and where not ready for luch yet but we watned a snack so i ordered a peice of cheesecake (nasty) and a snaple my sister ordered a hot chocolate and my son just a pop. well we pulled out some cards to play a game before we ordered lunch, why we where playing the owner a big Italyen guy came over and throu a big sum of money down and said cut him in, we laugh it off and contunted playing and not even 2 min later he came over and said, you CANT BE GAMBULING IN HEAR (which we where not we where playing rummy) GET THE HELL OUT IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE RESTAURANT and we like ok.... you where just messing around with us not 2sec ago.
So we left with out saying anything more. So STAY AWAY THE FOOD IS HORRABLE AND SO IS THE SERVICE THERE ARE ALOT OF BETTER PLACES CLOESE BY GO TO ONE OF THOSE!!!

Great breakfast. Very fast service and smiling waiters. The cheese omelet was really good.

Sadly the 306 W Adams location has shut down, along with much of the ground floor of that building, I would guess due to the refurbing that the building is doing. I'll miss the sausage+egg+cheese muffins conveniently on my walk to work.

Food:

Standard (but good) diner. Best soup in the city! Some of the waitresses are a bit surly, but they're blazing fast.
