Menu is not as good as it sounds when reading it online. Found a strand of hair in my dinner...did not pay but didn't get to enjoy anything else. On the bright side, their wine selection is pretty good.

This place is so consistently great. Been going to Massa's for the last 10 years and the same wait staff is here - that says so much about the quality of a place. It's a family owned biz that treats their employees well and their customers even better! Now to the food - omg everything is delicious! My personal favorite is the house salad and seafood gumbo! (Who else puts shrimp on their house salad?!? Amazing value!) And the crab cakes are divine! I've had most everything on the menu and have never been disappointed! And I'm saving the best for last- Kristi makes the best dirty martinis in the city! Seriously - I've had many a martini and no one makes the slushy martini goodness like Massa's South Coast Grill! And what a happy hour! I work downtown so this is a great place to come. Drinks are reasonably priced and on top of that FREE apps!! You can't go wrong here!

I went to this place on a work lunch and was pretty disappointed with my experience. I keep a plant-based diet and was pleasantly surprised that they had items listed as vegan which meant I wouldn't have to worry about customizing menu items. Unfortunately, I don't think they know what vegan entails. When my veggie tostada came out, not only was it topped with cheese, there was a layer melted underneath the beans. Surprise! I wouldn't trust this place if you're vegan or require gluten free despite what their menu says.

We had a wonderful romantic dinner. The staff and the environment were top notch. The food is amazing, flavorful generous portions.

Massa's is just okay. Their service is fine. The atmosphere is fine. What really turns me off is that every dish I've ordered there (I've been 3-4 times for work) seems to be nearly identical. To be different I feel like they try to add spiciness to every dish, and sometimes I just want my seafood to have a flavor other than jalapeno. Prices seem on par with what I would expect for a place of this ilk.
