03/30/2016 6:42 pmIt's like "chocolate heaven" at this Back Bay chain link proffering "ingenious", "Wonka"-like dessert concoctions for "all ages", plus adult beverages – and "don't discount" the savory American comfort eats either; some feel it's "somewhat expensive" for the genre, but the "fun", "loud", "kind-of-crazy setting" is still "worth going to", "even if it's just to inhale the heavenly scent." |

01/06/2016 10:04 pmReally fun place to go for a date. The skirt steak quesadilla was delicious. The three-chocolate fondue is a great dessert and a great date activity. |

12/12/2015 3:23 pmThe food is great! A few of my friends and I went the other night. We had a generally good time until we got chased out of the restaurant by our waitress asking for a larger tip. The service was horrible. When we first got there, we were greeted by a preoccupied hostess who was generally rude. My friends and I were too excited for the food to care. But when we had to wait forty-five minutesdxxx for dessert, and had to ask many times for the check, we were fed up. |

12/02/2015 9:44 pmI went to Boston to visit a friend and took her to Max Brenner because I love the New York one and knew she'd love it as well. The first thing I noticed was how reminiscent it is of the New York location. The interior is designed the same and the menu is the same as well. It was like I never left. The food was just as good as well, and I was hoping to have at least one variation on the menu so I could try something different but from what I could it was pretty much the exact same. This isn't a bad thing, just an observation. The waiters were very friendly and courteous. We had the spicy chicken flatbread, the guilt-free omelet with waffle fries and toast, the lemonade with passion fruit and the swiss hot milk chocolate. It was all great! |

11/14/2015 1:36 pmBeen here twice and both times were completely abysmal service. The first time we had bad service, but still tipped ~18% because we were a large group (7). We left and were chased down the street because the waiter didn't add up the part paid in cash and the part paid by card. After explaining the situation, we were still charged an extra amount on the card and has to be rectified at a later time. The second time, five of us, went and were seated after a very long wait with four or five open tables for parties our size. After being seated, or waiter didn't come for 20 minutes, despite the place not being very busy. The waiter brought us water only after we asked for it a second time and didn't refill despite requests. For other requests the delay/responsiveness was similar. Other people doing the store up front were waiting at least 15 minutes for someone to come check them out, and it was only after I notified the hosts did someone go over and tell them that their system was down and they could buy the gifts they were trying to. Lastly, part of the stairs/walkway in the middle of the restaurant because they were catching dropping water (?) with a five gallon bucket, which was fine, but when I accidentally walked to leave that way, was rudely told I needed to use another way. |

08/08/2015 6:33 pmFood was nice to look at, but awful to eat. I also had the privilege of tasting the absolute worst Margarita I've ever had (and that's a lot of margaritas). |
