10/06/2015 8:37 pmDecided to give this place a try despite the sketchy appearance. This place is not a diamond in the rough, it's just rough. The man working there was very nice, and the food was prepared quickly (I ordered carryout). I ordered vegetable fried rice and vegetable lo mein. The vegetable fried rice contained almost no vegetables and a lot of tiny shrimp, which I had to pick out, and had very little flavor. The lo mein was at least 80% bean sprouts with some canned mushrooms, the flavor was OK but would have been much better with more veggies. Fortune cookies were stale. Would not try again. |

03/06/2014 6:18 amI was the only person in the place and Now I can see why. After reading a good review here on Google, I decided to give the place a try. I ordered fried wantons and lemon chicken. I thought the wantons would be pot stickers (like at any other Chinese restaurant) but they were simply the same wantons that are in the soup, but they were fried. They were over cooked and the meat inside tasted a little old. The lemon chicken was the same kind you can find at a fast food place, only cost twice as much. My suggestions for May Flower are either step up the food quality to match the price of the food. Or, lower the price to fast food level. The check came with a stale fortune cookie. What better way to thank me for spending $20 than bringing me a fortune cookie that smelled like it was made about the same time they re-modeled the place. The 70s. Blah!! |

10/19/2012 4:07 pmYears ago, I use to go to a little Chinese restaurant in downtown Perrysburg (Kwongs). I absolutely loved the food & service! It was run by the couple who owned it. Sadly, it closed down, so I had tried place after place but no one came anywhere near Kwongs, until May Flower!! |
