Chips and salsa were OK. Ate their green enchiladas with chicken. Good tasting. Rice wasn't the best, but still good.

I've been there many times for lunch and have found Mazatlan II to be consistently great. Service is fast, food is delicious, portions are gratuitous, and they keep the chips and salsa coming.

The only problem is that you are so full and satisfied after you leave you will drop into a food coma.

This is Mexican? This is an insult to real Mexican cuisine! I don't know what changed but last year I ate here twice and although it wasn't great it at least was pretty good. I ate here last week and I have to say this is so far from Mexican food I would urge them to take the word "Mexican" from their sign. I took my daughter and her friend here (my daughter loves authentic Mexican food as well). The waiter brought us chips and three bowls of salsa, pointing at one and said "that's spicy". Are you kidding me? All three tasted the same without a hint of heat. In fact we decided that they were just watered down tomato juice with some chopped tomato added for effect. My burrito, "smothered green" was abysmal. Tasteless and whatever they passed off for green chili was bland slop with no hint of heat. Where's the Jalapeno? The burrito filling was lacking in any Mexican flavor - no cumin, no coriander, no cilantro - no nothing. If you really like Mexican food you'll pass this up!
