04/03/2015 11:48 amUpdated below. It's unfortunate that my wife and my anniversary dinner was the lowlight of our celebration this year. I give two stars because my wife had a seafood dish which she seemed to really enjoy, though there was a bit of crab lung in my bite of her crab meat–something I don't expect from a $30 dish. My meal, on the other hand, was a train wreck. They label themselves a seafood and steak house, so I was expecting competence in the steak department. I ordered a $36 fillet a bit more well done than medium-rare, so the waitress said, "the kitchen is very busy tonight, so I'll just put down med-rare and we can always send it back," a pretty average response when I order my steak that way. I also ordered a scotch with one ice cube to be brought with the meal, which she confirmed. When the steak came out it had obviously come off the grill before my wife's food was finished and was waiting to be brought to the table. Besides the fact that the steak wasn't warm, it was, at beast, rare. I had eaten a few bites of the steak, the side of (mediocre) green beans, and some of my wife's mashed potatoes before we were checked on and my scotch (a skimpy, almost finger and a half pour, simply neat) came out. I showed the waitress my rare, and, by this time, just plain cold steak. She took it to the back. The next steak came out and while it, at least, was warm it was, again, simply seared on both sides and very rare. I eventually showed this steak to the waitress too, which she confirmed was entirely more rare than ordered (just med-rare would have been great now), was very apologetic, and offered to take this steak back two or three times.Yet, at this point, my wife was finished with her meal, so I wasn't going to make her wait any longer. The steak was pretty flavorless, and was, honestly, just as unmemorable as a $10-15 steak at Outback. For the $125 we spent (after gratuity), the service was surprisingly poor compared to other restaurants in this price range. Typically with such an experience the restaurant tries to show they are eager to please, a manager is sent over, apologies are offered, and something (even if a dessert) is comped, but here?Nothing, not even a manager with apologies (and I wasn't going to call one over during my anniversary dinner). I wasn't looking for a handout, but in my opinion it's simply good customer relations for those who are spending good money. I will probably not return here, it was simply and plainly dissapointing. Chart House, Ruth's Chris, and Morton's provide great food and experiences and are just down the road; in the future I will look to these establishments instead. |

12/16/2014 2:34 pmI attend the Pool & Spa Show in Atlantic City the last week of January every year and always make it a point to have at least one dinner here. As I live in RI, I also frequent the Providence and Fanueil Hall M&S. The food is PHENOMENAL! |

08/19/2014 4:37 pmI planned a birthday party for my boyfriend's 30th birthday (Aug 16th). The review below was from a guest that attended and I will agree with her that the customer service was very unprofessional. Each guest paid around $60 dollars on a pre fixed menu and ordered drinks and for the waitresses and managers to just tell us that they are busy that night is unacceptable. |

07/17/2014 10:26 pmI am from Philly and decided to check out McCormick & Schmick's at Harrah's Casino for my 52nd birthday (July 5th) and I am glad that I did! The food was superb and the service was excellent! I especially enjoyed the private room and the V.I.P. treatment! I am looking for to returning again with more friends. I'm a customer for life! |
