Melting Pot, Atlantic City, New Jersey Restaurant Details

I want you to know everyone has different opinions, and maybe for some you don't like this type of restaurant but for us it was a fun night. The staff was so nice and helped us celebrate an occasion. We loved the food and the dessert was so good. I almost licked the chocolate fondue pot clean.

It's kinda Bull**** that 3 days after I make reservations, they have the nerve to tell me I have to order some stupid set menu for $80 A PERSON. NO THANKS.....no wonder AC is imploding

This establishment is completely incompetent not only did they not follow through with any of the requests I had made 3 weeks before but they also provided extremely delayed & terrible service. Our waiter either forgot to bring or only brought part of our order multiplie times. They had multiple waiters there when we arrived despite the fact that there was only one other couple there. My girl friend ordered a long island iced tea that was just pure low grade vodka & rum despite paying extra for premium liquors. For our meal we simply ordered the cheese & chocolate fondue & it still took 3 hours because our food took so long to arrive. In addition the only request they were willing to fulfill was a to spell happy anniversary which they not only spelled incorrectly but made an issue of claiming that the chef or someone else & not our waiter could possibly do it. The manager at one point arrived & offered to give us free drinks as an apology for their service. At the end of our meal we received free strawberries from our waiter (Which we never requested nor knew about) instead of the free drinks promised by the manager. All in all the experience was incredibly subpar providing not only slow unreliable service but also instead of providing us the free drinks offered decided to unload they're unwanted inventory on us as a cheaper alternative all in all I will never come to this or any other melting pot again & advise everyone else to do the same.

We had a table for six which was great as it allowed us to choose two different fondues rather than all share one.

We went for their four course experience. The fondu format works perfectly for an interactive and fun meal and the food tastes great.

All positives, other than the fact that in my cheese fondu course I found a large clump of hair in one mouthful. To the restaurant's credit, when I complained the manager was instantly called and after profuse apologies said the entire evenings food was complimentary.

Despite this being a grave failing, accidents can happen and I felt they were genuinely sorry, hence I would happily give them another try.

What an awesome dining experience. It was my first time trying a fondue style restaurant, and it was great. Incredible food with absolutely exceptional service. A must

Love the location, the food it delicious usually. This last visit I have a gripe about. When purchasing the Mochatini in the past, if you only asked for one, they would come filled the top, however this last visit, my friend decided to give it a try, it seems as though because we asked for two of the same drink, the glasses were only filled just about past the half way point of the martini glass, this was disappointing.

Terrific experience, private booth with doors to really make it private, loved the food, will certainly be back. Those ying yang Martini's are amazing.
