Not every waitress or waiter knows how to respond to an autistic child but our waitress, Stephanie, at the Gatlinburg Melting Pot was so awesome with us and my daughter. She made my daughter feel special and that meant more then she'll know. We commend you, Stephanie. You made her experience the highlight if our stay. Thank you!

Went there on 2 yr Anniversary and booked through open table app. Asked for special table with flowers and note to my amazing wife. They went out of their way and it was perfect!!! Beautiful roses in a vase, rose pedals on the table and a card with all the right words. Can't thank y'all enough!! Made our day and our trip awesome!!! Thank y'all so much!!!

Great food and overall experience. First off, make sure your party is OK with cooking all the courses on the table, I've been with people before that complained about the price for doing it yourself.

This place is very large inside, even though the front facade is small. Parking can be a nightmare, if you park in the garage directly to their right, they will validate it. I can't imagine how hard it would be during the busy season, so make sure you have at least 45 minutes before your reservation so you can park somewhere and walk over.

The food was all excellent, no complaints. Our waitress was pretty blah - she was friendly and helpful but not really up to par for the meal price and tip. After the last course was dropped off, she was dismissive. The waiter at the next table sounded much more professional and engaging.

The restaurant is dimly lit (unless you are by the windows), and classic jazz is played, so a good date or adult dining spot, but not a place to bring rowdy kids (there are dozens of other places to take them). Well behaved older kids will enjoy the cooking style, and won't make a mess. Total for a four course meal for two, and wine sampler, was about $100 before tip, so check the menu online if you want to avoid sticker shock compared to other chains in the vicinity.

Overall a great meal though, well worth it if you have money to spend. Remember to call ahead for a reservation, otherwise you will be waiting in the lobby for a while. Several groups were waiting when we left, but we walked right in.

Meal time total was over two hours, and that was rushing it with only two people.

I have been to this melting pot on several occasions. My wife and I decided to spend a nice evening on 14 Jan 2016. We showed up at 7:50 and Broderick the hostess that runs the front desk was rude and obnoxious to the point of being a total Jerk. He tried to say it was 8pm and were not taking anymore customers. The place closes at 9pm and he refused service to us because they wanted to close early. I informed them I would be contacting there corporate office and not the local office. Avoid this place, there customer service sucks.

Excellent service and very intimate environment. Definitely the place to take your special someone on a romantic date. This location has lots of seating. Can reserve on Open Table app.
