Absolutely love this place! The portions are good size compared to the cost and the food is always delicious. Definitely has and old country feel to the atmosphere.

Amazing family owned restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Treat you like family. Small dinning room but great jukebox and open 24 hrs on the weekends. The food is amazing, most things made from scratch. Definitely recommended and will return again.

Such great service! We stopped here with our kids after looking at Christmas lights. They made us feel right at home with hot cocoa with sprinkles and crackers for my baby. We ordered scones which
were so delicious. We also enjoyed the jukebox. These ladies went above
and beyond. Thanks for making our dining out experience so great!

You simply have to get a scone even you come to Merritt's. But the rest of the menu is delicious too. I personally like that they have a working jukebox and counter service. It's a very homesytle comfort food kind of place.

I'm currently sitting at Merritt's Family Restaurant. I haven't ordered anything. The only thing on the table is a cup of coffee offered to me "on the house" after the kindest server came out to the parking lot where I was sitting-visibly distressed-looking at my darling Subarbu that had just broke down while driving down State Street. I've had the food here-it's amazing. But what I'm writing about right now is the quality of kind, warm, hospitable service. I feel like I just walked into my Grandma's house. Even though it's just coffee, it immediately eased the stress of car problems. I speculate that if there's a heaven, and there are restaurants there, all of the servers will be as great as the ones at Merritt's Family Restaurant.
