If you have an old can of re-fried beans and a micro wave you can make half their food. The huevos rancheros where just plain sad! In my opinion it was glorified dog food, definitely not worth your money. For a lot better quality at a similar price go to Tacos El Rey on Sutro, not far away. Their food is 10 times more authentic with a lot more options. Plus the place is usually close to packed, so you know the food is good.

Great authentic mexican food for the best prices in town. For example, my favorite is 2 tacos and a tostada for 4.99.

This tiny hole in the wall Mexican restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat in Reno. The menu offers many enticing home cooked Mexican grub for super cheap. Nothing fancy but the portions are generous and did I mention that you can order your food to go? The staff is always friendly. My only real complaint is that the chicken is rather dry. I highly recommend the chorizo (Mexican Sausage)- it's awesome. Not to mention that it is near UNR so you can grab a cheap meal after class.
