03/02/2016 11:20 pmHappened upon this gem across the street from Jefferson Hospital. Sat at the counter for a bowl of DELICIOUS homemade Lima bean soup. What really made my experience superb was the owner Jimmy and his staff. They immediately made me feel like I was part of the family. My daughter is staying in the hospital for the next few days and I will now make this place my home away from home for meals and comfort. Definitely would rate it a 10 star if I could!!! The cannoli was heaven! |

02/18/2016 10:58 pmIt is truly impossible to locate a wonderful 24-hour diner in Wilmington, Delaware that accepts cash and credit and debit cards and has great and tasty food that is affordable, so this bistro has easily become a personal favorite of mine. Everything that I've eaten is fabulous. My friend and waitress Gladys is amazing, funny, exceptionally experienced, patient, and simply the best. My friends and I visit and dine there as many times that we can when we converge for social hour and good vibes. I recommend the golden pancakes with fresh strawberries and bananas, scrambled eggs with cheese, and turkey bacon. The crispy but golden chicken tenders with honey mustard are phenomenal. Weekends can become insanely busy around 12 am to 5 am after the nightclubs dispel the young and middle-age revelers who stumble over to the diner. If you want good food with affordable options, this diner won't leave you feeling entirely dismayed. |

11/13/2015 7:16 pmI think the customer service was very poor to say the least. I placed an order over the phone for delivery. While on the phone I stated my location and before I got out what I wanted the gentleman said "I hope your going to order more than one sandwich". Strike one. I proceeded to place my order, he then said to me I had to meet the delivery guy downstairs because they did not want to have to go through security. So, I get my food in the amount of time that they say, I open it and the soup I ordered was wrong. I called the diner back and told them that's not what I ordered and if they could send my order back the right way. The gentleman on the phone got very rude stating they are busy and he was not going to send it back all he could offer me was a credit. I stated to him a credit would not be sufficient because the lack of courtesy I was receiving I wouldn't be ordering from them again. He then told me, well that's all he could do because they were "too busy". By this time I'm angry. I asked to speak to a manager. He proceeded to tell me that he was the manager. I then told him, don't bother, I would take the loss and I would be writing a review on his website since he is showing poor customer service skills and being rude to me. He then and only then offered to have the delivery come back. I declined and will never give Midtown any more of my business nor will I ever refer them to anyone. I took the soup and gave it to a homeless gentleman outside of my job. So, I did something right in this situation . I was and am very appalled at how I was treated and I will be sure to let everyone know what kind of business Midtown is running. |
