06/15/2015 6:52 pmI went to Mikado for dinner with 2 friends. The server, Riley, was very nice and the food was "decent" at best. We were very disappointed that we were refused a hibachi grill because they said they didn't have one available. We were there for over an hour and , of the 3 grills they have not got used or requested while we were there. At first I wondered if they didn't have a chef on duty. It was made aware that they did have one because they set a group at a grill as we were leaving.. On top of that, the other server was very rude . I then learned she was the owner. I do not see how a place can stay in business with the the way that owner treats not only their guests, but their employees as well. I will never return to this establishment. And I hope for the servers sake, she can find another place to work where she is appreciated. |

05/10/2015 11:43 pmWorst experience ever! Went there to celebrate Mother's Day. Chef bragged that he had 18 years of experience. Pretty much everything he cooked was burnt and was bitter. When he "cleaned" the grill afterwards, he left it dirty with pieces of rice, meat etc. When asked by the waiter if everything was ok, I mentioned twice how the food was burnt and was ignored. Not a place to go for a special or any other occasion for that matter. Only other Japanese restaurant I've been to in town was Ichaban which was extremely better than this place. |

12/26/2014 4:46 pmI got the Ribeye plate and the cut wasn't Ribeye or even New York steak, it was ROUND! They charge Ribeye prices for Round beef plates and expect consumers to not know the difference. |

12/15/2014 9:14 amI dropped in to Mikado Japanese for dinner on Friday night and had a wonderful experience! The owner personally greeted me at the door and very hospitably seated me at the sushi bar where I experienced a wonderful cabernet sauvignon and a steak and shrimp dinner. The restaurant is clean, relaxing, and welcoming, and service is very prompt. They seem to take pride in giving diners a great experience, and there seem to be many loyal patrons who dine there frequently. I would definitely go back! |
