Try the White Fish Carpaccio or Crispy Spice Tuna. Takesan will only serve fresh fish. Uni is fresh from Santa Barbara. Ask whether they have Toro. Hamachi is always buttery. Always check out the specials on the board. Great rolls, but worth sticking with the sushi and sashimi. Full a la carte Japanese menu if you wish.

This was our local sushi joint in the Pico/Robertson area. You walk in, and it smells like fish. It's fairly busy, so you know the fish is pretty fresh. Portions are large. And what I love the most? It's authentic. I walk in, and they're not speaking Chinese or Korean to each other [nothing against those restaurants either, but this was Minori's draw.]. They're speaking Japanese.
