Modern Hotel, Boise, Idaho Restaurant Details

Food:

-Hotel is an older hotel that has been renovated. The rooms are great, with a very nice bathroom and TV.

-The location is great. A 10 minute walk from 8th street, with the delicious Big City Coffee a 5 minute walk. Both I would recommend instantly.

-The restaurant was just rated as the best in Idaho, receiving the James Beard award, I believe. It's delicious, and priced very well. The pork belly I had previously was roughly $15, and easily the best I've ever had. They will also be doing a full six-course meal tonight for Valentine's day, but I would suggest making reservations beforehand.

Food:

I've stayed here quite a lot when traveling for business. I can't say enough good about the staff; I'm not a fan of traveling for work, but they make it awesome. The food and drinks are spectacular as well. The rooms are furnished mid century modern and have waterfall showers.

Great room at a great price, along with the best bar and some of the best, most unique food in town. My only complaint is the rooms get noisy in the morning, but that's more my fault for sleeping in so late than the fault of the hotel.

Nicely done remodel, bed was super comfy. Breakfast brunch was incredible. 15% discount for guest. Only negative is the road noise and foot traffic in the hall way is real loud. Bring ear plugs. Oh, and the lesbians making out in the hall was a bonus, depending on your point of view.

Food:

I am inspired to review for the first time. The Modern has left me peacefully thrilled and satisfied, lounging with a perfect pot de creme, following a meal that was so beautiful I cried tears of joy throughout. Take the one you love to this excellent little spot. I have zero criticism. Not only will I be back, I plan on making the Modern a date night tradition.
