Had a birthday party at Monty's and had a wonderful time with my family. Food and service was great!
A wonderful place for family dining or a special occasion. The owner made us feel so welcome; she checked by several times to see if we needed anything. Ownership involvement is the secret to success. We will be back soon traveling up from Cape Coral.

Food:

Went there with 5 other people. The waiter said he only worked weekends and wasn't familiar with the menu. One person ordered steak rare, was served well done, they said they would cook her another one. the second one was even more well done, the chef came out and said he was breaking in a new cook, they would cook her another one since everyone else was done eating she said no thanks. Another one ordered a chicken parm sandwich the chicken was very tough it wouldn't even pull apart. the other meals were mediocre at best. no discount was offered to make up for anything. loss of 6 local year round customers plus other people who ask how it was.

First visit was December 19 to the new location; thought all the bugs would have been worked out by then, but no, no, no. Dining room is windowless, like a dungeon. Waiter informed us two for one drinks, I ordered a glass of wine, kinda expected two but he informed me I needed to finish the first before he would bring the second !!! Maybe thought I was going to share it !! Veal parmesan was good, two stromolies were almost burned on the outside and not quite hot on the inside, yuck. One of my guests ordered soup and it arrived after her entrée ?? Waiter said we caught him on a bad night when he was suffering a headache. I believe it !! The four in my party were loyal and frequent customers at the old Old Monty's and very disappointed with the new one. Forget this place !!

Food:

Nice decor. Friendly staff.
I had Angel Hair Pasta with meat sauce and added sausage.
The meat sauce was very good and it was meaty! Two large pieces of sausage. Good. They were tasty. I am sure they were simmered in water to cook. They would have been even better if after they were cooked they were simmered in sauce. My only suggestion, not a complaint.
Salad Bar was standard fare.
Others at my table had Egg Plant Parmesan. They said it was very good.
Overall satisfying dinner.

My wife and I have been regulars at this Local eatery even before they were destroyed by the hurricane..Food is always good with friendly fast service..The new location seems to have multiple dining areas to chose from, even bar dining, which we enjoy from time to time. We recommend highly!
