08/03/2015 10:09 pmListen up! This place is nothing but spectacular! My mother and girlfriend accompanied me here and it was all of our first time eating any kind of Indian food. The owner Savita explain the food and culture. Talked to us like she would do anything for us. The food was OUTSTANDING! There is not one bad thing I could say except I hate I live in North Carolina instead of Maine so I could eat this more often. Well worth the money! |

04/19/2015 7:27 pmMother India is the best restaurant in the Lewiston/Auburn area. The atmosphere is nice for large groups or couples. This place has been our food savior from the surrounding yuppy-pricey-whatever food. Everything is mad fresh and delicious; extremely authentic, the spices are wonderful, every dish is amazing. The staff are helpful and kind, we have never had a bad experience. There is a dish for everyone here, this place is a spicy diamond among the bland culinary cubic zirconias. |

02/20/2015 1:09 amMy girlfriend and I have been a regular at Mother India for a while now and the food is always delicious. Since the first time I went the wait staff has always been very kind and personable. I do not remember a single time where I was not greeted with a smile or nice conversation. When this is combined with great food and atmosphere, it makes for a great meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Indian food or would like to try something new and delicious. |

01/24/2015 4:37 pmThe low rating is entirely attributable to the wait staff. My wife and I didn’t have enough time to actually enjoy the meal. It took more than 40 minutes to get nan and drinks. The young, snarky hipster waiter was too busy making time with two college girls to bother with us, I guess. If I could have, I would have deducted his tip from the bill. I could carve a more pleasant person from a bar of soap. Unscented soap. I have never been waited on by someone with a more offensive and dismissive attitude towards paying customers and this is the first time in my life I haven’t left any gratuity. Someone this toxic shouldn’t be allowed to mingle with actual human beings. |
