Mothers Cantina, Ocean City, Maryland, Ovo Restaurant Details

It sucks I went there not to long ago and a guy was serving drinks there I guess his shift was up and right before his shift was up I ordered 2 more drinks and paid. Now this chicks comes behind the bar looks at me weird and hands me MY bill that I already paid bout 20 mins fussing just so happens the guy that was serving drinks came back and cleared it all up smh

Food:

Food is spicy and delicious, and margaritas are excellent. I have an anaphylatic reaction to wheat (so I carry benedryl and an Epi pen because wheat is in everything from kahlua to cheap blue cheese and soy sauce) and I had the queso, chips, salsa, portabella taco and wings (with blue cheese!) with no reaction. Wings rival Pit&Pub for best we've ever had. I'll be back!

If I could give this place 6/5 stars I would because its that good.

Whether you're there for the tacos ( fish tacos nomnomnom yum! ), entertainment, or people, you are bound to have a great time.

First off, the staff is legitimately some of the best people you will meet. Friendly, Kind, and Efficient - they'll have you smiling in no time.

Second they've got fantastic drink specials - I've posted a picture of their Wednesday Specials, and I think you'll agree that you wont find better deals elsewhere.

Third - go to their happy hour ! Its either from 3-6 or 3-7. They've got some great food and drink specials (again, fish tacos !)

So for all things espanol in Ocean City, look no further - this is the spot !

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mothers. We were there during happy hour and had 6 tacos ( 3 chicken and 3 beef) 3 Margarita's and a Malibu Bay Breeze, chips with salsa and homemade guacamole for a total of $34. Can't beat it. Food was fresh and tasty, drinks were large and perfectly proportioned. Will visit again - most likely this week.

You all know these restaurants, where nothing's exactly going well, nothing's efficient.

You could definitely say that efficiency is one of the best points about "Mother's" - none of the waiters ever goes without carrying anything away or bringing food, as soon as a table is empty someone's instantly there to clean it.
The waiting times are just as good. Even though we had to wait around 15 minutes before the staff was able to seat us as it was really crowded, once sitting on the table, the waiter took our order, we got our drinks straight afterwards and the food itself didn't tarry long either.
Needless to say that the service was excellent indeed, sincerely friendly people all over the place.
The ambience was just as you'd expect it to be in a Mexican restaurant, nothing really left to say there.
Finally, the food. We ordered Chips with salsa and guacamole, tacos and a burrito, all of which weren't just tasty, but also extremely reasonable looking at how big the servings were.
We haven't had such a pleasurable experience in a long tim - left to say is only that you shouldn't get scared because of the facade or anything similar to that, as "Mother's Cantina" is just a restaurant and bar that has earned its 5 star to its fullest.

P.S: They seem to be having the best margaritas in ocean city as well - we didn't try them though - and for anyone in your group or family not exactly looking for Mexican food: they have absolutely brilliant typical American style burgers too!
