TL;DR -- In terms of food and drink, this is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to.

Neighborhood is a fun, stylish, and bustling place. It was very busy, but we were seated immediately in a corner of their outdoor patio, facing the street. It was a bit cramped, but it was perfectly fine -- especially after the food that was brought to us...

By plate, I ordered house-brewed cinnamon whiskey, jalapeño mac & cheese, and burger with sweet potato fries -- all of which were astonishingly delicious.

First, the cinnamon whiskey was the best I've ever had. I'm used to Fireball or Spitfire, which now I realize only mimic the cinnamon flavor similar in candy. However, this had actual cinnamon, which was far more satisfying and drinkable.

Our "small" plate, or appetizer, was the novel jalapeño mac & cheese, and ordered the hottest possible version. It was spicy, but no where near unbearable. The macaroni was well cooked and the cheese wasn't overbearing. Everything in this dish was exceptionally balanced. The uniqueness of the jalapeño made the dish memorable.

The entrée, or "meat," was a medium-rare spicy Cajun rubbed burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was savory and very, very juicy -- so much in fact that adding ketchup would be redundant. They did provide a vinaigrette, which I used to lightly dipped my burger. I don't know if that was supposed to be for my fries, but it went excellently with the burger. Lastly, the sweet potato friend were great; sweet, fluffy, not too greasy, nor burnt.

I don't think I have to say any more. If you're thinking about going there, let me be your guide, and just go.

Well not much to like here... awful service with rude attitudes and an overall unpleasant vibe to the entire experience... try again next year with your modern asswipery

We came here for lunch before opening day at Petco. Excellent beer and whiskey selection, cool chill vibe, and hipster staff. Gets crowded fast. I ate the jalapeño Mac and cheese: Good but nothing special and really spicy even if you get mild. I also tried the black bean burger: a little gritty, but portobellos are a good addition. All in all: go for the classic burger. My BF's burger was amazing. Wish I had ordered it.

This "cool" "local's spot" in the East Village brings together unpretentious, midpriced gastropub fare (including great burgers) and one of the better tap lists in the city in an "inviting" if frequently "packed" setting; accommodating servers tend both the "indoor/outdoor" dining area and Noble Experiment, the "secret", "speakeasy"-style bar in a back room hidden behind a wall of beer kegs.
